As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day, I began pondering the meaning of the word in relation not only to our country but also in our work aptitude.

There is no doubt that the independence that we experience as a country is valuable and should never be taken for granted.  Wars have been fought, and passionate people have sacrificed to provide us with the lives that we have the opportunity to live.
