How Do You Reach Customers?
Whether or not we want to admit it, tax season is upon us. So, you should start expecting to see those articles that will tell you the top ten mistakes that you can make on your tax return, or the latest changes to tax law that everyone needs to know. Tax season also brings out the people dancing by the side of the road beckoning you into their den of tax preparation and rapid refunds.
Every where you turn for about 30 – 45 days, you are reminded that filing your taxes must be a priority. So, when you do get around to addressing them, there is a sense of relief. No more tax tips, no more people dancing by the side of the road in costume, and no more stack of papers that have the necessary information to file.
But have you ever had to contact the IRS, a state tax office, or a local tax office? While tax prep companies are sending out the dancing bears, these offices are hiding out, overwhelmed by the number of tax returns they are processing. They don’t want to talk to you. They are busy.

So, you call, because the website doesn’t answer your question, and you are placed on hold in a never-ending circle of pushing numbers for your menu choice only to be greeted by staticky, bad music. This could go on for a while. Eventually you get someone on the phone who takes less time to answer your question than the menu you just went through, and you still don’t get it.
It’s like nobody really knows the answer. And they probably don’t. Why? Because there is so much information to digest and process to get to a response. And there are a plethora of responses that can be given. So, you might as well forget about customer service.
Is that how your company is responding to customers? Like a tax agency that can’t assimilate the data in front of them because of the numerous factors that could affect the answer.
Enter Infor’s Inforce (native integration to Salesforce.com). Infor has created Inforce purposefully to marry the customer data and needs of CRM and ERP. Seem impossible? No. It is quite possible, and can be the difference in maintaining a relationship or not.
In fact, Michael Bristol, Senior Product Manager, Infor says:
“Successful organizations are continuously looking for ways to create a more responsive enterprise, centered on the customer. By connecting and enhancing CRM with ERP, organizations have clearer visibility into customer relationships, supporting a more customer-centric business process and providing teams with the tools to successfully leverage the entire customer life cycle in the cloud.”
Inforce brings the reality of real-time data regarding customers, orders, shipments, invoices, and sales information to every user, thus creating a work force that is empowered, and capable of answering questions, and making well informed decisions in real time. No staticky music required……
