Centralized and Decentralized Order Entry
Any site can originate a multi-site Customer Order specifying by line item which site will ship which item to the customer. This, in turn, creates Customer Orders in the appropriate other sites. If the specified shipping site is not the site that warehouses or manufactures the item, Infor ERP SL creates a Transfer Order to pass the demand to the appropriate site. Multi-site credit checking, inventory on-hand, and allocations visibility is provided for all sites.
Multi-Site order entry creates a centralized Order that spans across sites and transactions are linked back to the originating site's Order. In decentralized environments, sites can enter their own Orders and all sites have visibility of other sites' Orders and status.
